If you are a REBORN DOLL ARTIST and you want to get your name out there and sell your babies then you have come to the right place......
If you currently sell your creations on ebay or other auction sites you may be aware of how much it costs just to advertise let alone get noticed, build your reputation and actually make money, For those of you who have not sold on ebay here is a breakdown of costs from both ebay and paypal
Insertion fee = £1.00
Buy it now price = £0.68p
Pictures = £0.12p EACH
Final Value Fee = 10%%%% (amount deducted from the final amount your baby sells for)
Re-Listed Fees £1.00
Pay pal Fees =3.4% + 20p deducted from every payment recieved .
Lets pretend we are going to sell a doll on auction but we are going to add a buy it now price too ...
WE ADVERTISE OUR DOLL = £1.00
WE ADD PICTURES = 12p each so 6 pictures = 72p
WE HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE = 68p
But baby doesn't sell first time.... oh no so add £1.00 Re-List
PLUS THE PICTURE FEES AND BUY IT NOW
so thats......£1.00 x 2 = £2.00 + £0.68p x 2 = £1.36 + £0.72p x 2 = £1,44
TOTAL ADVERTISING = £2.00+£1.36+£1.44 = £ 4.80p
SAY WE SOLD BABY FOR £50.00 We need to DEDUCT 10% which is £5.00
So in our pay pal account we would expect £45.00 Right?
WRONG Now we deduct 3.4% + 20p = £1.73p off of £45.00
Now we are left with £43.27p NOW WE PAY EBAY so ....
£43.27-£4.80 = £38.47p
Now hopefully you understand that Selling your Creations can actually cost you more than it did to make the doll leaving you with a loss
I believe everybody should be able to afford a Reborn and the only way that is going to be possible is to HELP struggling artists get recognised and be able to sell at affordable prices whilst making enough profit to create another baby.
